Many times when shopping for Tiffany Style lamps, lighting or even stained glass panels, we are drawn by the magnificent beauty and splendid color. - Probably the most obvious is the wattage of the bulbs recommended in the lamp. This will surely affect how much light emanates from your lamp.
- Secondly, is the lamp shade designed to direct the light down as in a normal table lamp shade or hanging pendant? Does the lamp direct the light upward as a lamp with an inverted shade. Touchier lamps direct light upward as do many pendant lamps? Maybe the lampshade encloses the light source completely.
- This factor is maybe not as obvious as the others but it definitely will affect the lamps surroundings profoundly. This is the where you really need to decide if you want the beauty of the lampshade to be the centerpiece or want it to illuminate the surroundings also. If it consists of many dark colors the light will be beautiful but may not give off enough light. If the shade consists of many clear or light colored pieces, it may give off too much light or may need lesser wattage bulbs.
